New in the Collection – Square Piano by Christopher Ganer, London c. 1785

A new square piano by the well-known London piano maker Christopher Ganer has been acquired for the Eric Feller Collection. The instrument was built around 1785 and is unique in terms of instrument research on Ganer’s pianos, as this one has a serial number on the soundboard. Previously preserved instruments from Ganer are unsigned in this regard. Further research about this special square piano is currently ongoing!
